Visit the Thunderbird Website to download the latest version of the newsreader client.
Step One
Assuming you just want to use Thunderbird as a newsreader you can choose "Don't import anything".
Step Two
Select "Newsgroup account" as shown above.
Step Three
Enter the name and email address to be connected with this account.
Step Four
Enter news.giganews.com into the newsgroup server field.
Step Five
Enter anything you want for the account name.
Step Six
Review the information and click Finish.
